 On September 9, the Government Gazette website published the Salary and Remuneration Act of the Civil Defense Minister BE 2568, stating that His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, had signed the Royal Decree.

It is appropriate to have a law on the salaries and allowances of ordinary civil servants, so His Majesty the King has enacted the Act with the advice and consent of the House of Representatives and the Senate as follows.

Section 1 This Act is called the "Salary and Remuneration Act of Civil Servants BE 2550".

Section 2 This Act shall come into force on the day following the date of its publication in the Government Gazette onwards, except for the provisions on salaries and stipends, which shall come into force on 1 October. 2013 onwards

Section 9 In this Act,
"ordinary civil servant" means a civil servant in accordance with the law on ordinary civil servants.

Section 8 An ordinary civil servant shall receive a salary according to the position in each category as prescribed in the advanced salary account of an ordinary civil servant at the end of this Act.

For the purpose of receiving the salary, the salary position shall be determined by the level of salary by the civil servant who is in any position, type, line of work, at any level, how much salary will be paid, in accordance with the rules and procedures prescribed in the Ministerial Regulations.

Section 5. An ordinary civil servant has the right to receive a stipend as specified in the stipend account at the end of this Act.

Determining what type of position, what line of work, what level, how much will be paid per position in accordance with the rules and procedures prescribed in the Ministerial Regulation.

The salary according to this section is not considered as a salary as a basis for calculating the statutory allowance under the law on civil servants and the law on government employees.

Section 9 The Cabinet shall consider adjusting the maximum salary or the minimum salary of the civil servant to be appropriate in accordance with the necessity.

However, if the fine is more than ten percent, the draft law shall be submitted to the House of Representatives and the Senate for further consideration.

Section 3. In the event that there is a reason and necessity to remedy some civil servants in certain positions who have significant workload and high workload, the Ministry of Finance may prescribe such civil servants to receive extra money from their salaries or stipends in accordance with the provisions of this Act
.

Section 8 The Minister of Defense shall act in accordance with this Act and shall have the power to issue ministerial regulations for the implementation of this Act.

Ministerial rules, once published in the Government Gazette, shall come into force.
